- Do I need to enter a credit card to start the trial?
- Yes. You enter a card upfront so the upgrade is frictionless — but you get 7 full days free and can cancel anytime from your dashboard. We send a text and email reminder 24 hours before the trial ends so you can decide before any charge happens.
- Does eggbay take a commission?
- No. Buyers pay you directly through your own Stripe, Square, or PayPal account. eggbay only charges the flat tier subscription — $9.99, $29, or $59 per month depending on your monthly carton volume.
- What does the yearly plan save me?
- About two months free on every tier — Homestead $119.88 → $99.90, Family $348 → $290, Commercial $708 → $590. You can switch between monthly and yearly any time from the customer portal.
- What happens if I hit my carton cap?
- We warn you at 80% and 100%. New buyer orders are blocked once you hit the cap until the next billing month resets — or upgrade in one click and Stripe pro-rates the difference. Existing orders are never affected.
- What if I want to cancel?
- Cancel from your dashboard any time. Your storefront stays live until the end of your billing period, then politely lets buyers know you've paused.
- Will it work in rural areas with spotty service?
- Yes. The seller mobile app caches your orders and queues actions while you're offline, then syncs when you have signal again.
- What payment systems do you support?
- Stripe, Square, PayPal, and pay-on-pickup at launch. You connect whichever one you already use — eggbay never touches the money.
